ABOUT US

More than Housing

Cuan an Chláir is more than housing, its about community. We work with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure Cuan An Chláir is a safe, secure and inclusive community aimed at providing our residents with the quality of life they require and deserve.

Community at its best

We work with Clare County Council, HSE, Clarecare, Alzheimars Society of Ireland, and a number of voluntary bodies to support the continuing independent living of our residents while ensuring they remain engaged and active in our community.

  • Sheltered Housing: Twenty-seven thoughtfully designed homes offering safe, comfortable living with easy access to shared outdoor spaces.
  • Day Care Facility (Clarecare): A welcoming centre providing social activities, nutritious meals, and support services for older people across the region.
  • Alzheimer’s Unit (ASI): A specialised facility operated by the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, offering high-quality care for individuals living with dementia.

Supporting the Elderly

Cuan an Chláir is rooted in collaboration and community spirit. From its founding vision in 2006 to the vibrant campus it is today, the project reflects a deep commitment to supporting older people in Clare.

Our guiding belief remains unchanged: Age enriches our community, strengthens our connections, and is truly an asset.
